Families: Godly Play, and Youth Group
Godly Play: Ages 4-10
Godly Play is much more than just Sunday School teaching – it’s an experience of worship and of the presence of God. At St. Michael and All Angels Godly Play, we share the riches of the Christian tradition with children ages 4-11.
In our Godly Play classroom you’ll find specially created learning materials that help children experience God’s presence by hearing Scripture and responding in conversation, art and play.
Godly Play uses Christian spirituality – expressed in sacred story, parable, liturgical action, and silence – to help children become more fully aware of God’s presence in their lives. Godly Play also helps children build friendships with one another and with the teachers. We welcome adults to join us, as well.
Youth Group: Ages 11-14
The Youth Group at Saint Michael and All Angels is an active community of young people who like to serve their parish and the community. Each Sunday of the month, the Youth participate in a different theme.

On the First Sunday of the month, the Youth Group gathers to discuss the many aspects of Mission. Their focus in 2024 is to help the homeless in Orange County.
The Second Sunday of the Month is Fun Sunday. The Youth Group will gather to join in a fun activity in the afternoon. This year, the Youth Group has enjoyed going bowling and to Boomers. They look forward to visiting Knott’s Berry Farm, Tanaka Farms, and taking a boat ride in Huntington Harbor at Christmastime.
On the Third Sunday of the month, the Youth Group will serve in Worship. They volunteer as Acolytes, Readers, and Ushers and help in Godly Play.
On the Fourth Sunday of the month, the Youth will Rest.
The Youth Group also enjoys serving the parish during Fellowship Events.
The Youth Group meets in the Conference Room at 9:30 am on Sundays. All students in grades 5 through 8 are welcome!
