Covid Restrictions Reinstated | November 17, 2020
Yesterday, the State of California moved Orange County back into the “Purple Tier,” the most restrictive of the State’s COVID classifications. I’m sorry to say that in order to comply with the State’s directive and the guidance of the Bishop of Los Angeles, we must suspend in-person worship here at St. Michael’s effective immediately.
This coming Sunday, November 22 at 10 am, Barbara Stewart and I will be celebrating the Eucharist in the chapel. We welcome you to join us via Zoom, as many of you have been doing for these past months. St. Michael’s will of course resume in-person worship as soon as it is safe and we are authorized to do so. We will keep you posted. Until then, we will continue to worship via Zoom.
I’m keenly aware of the challenges and difficulties this poses, especially given the short notice. It’s a hard and sad situation for all of us. But I know that the grace and power of God, and the deep care that the members of this community share with one another, will bring St. Michael’s through to a new day.
Love and blessings,
Michael Seiler
